Mixed Feelings Bingo Game
42 game-size cards depicting 8 characters with up to 6 different feelings/emotions, along with game cards to play bingo!
These game cards are double-sided, one side showing the character and emotion/feeling, the other side showing a summary of the key words describing the picture along with a Bingo! label.
Game Ideas:
- Have each student cut out their own cards and then fold and glue them so that there is a picture on one side and writing on the other. Place the cards in an envelope, so that Bingo can become a regular event for the students. Students choose 24 of these cards to go onto the large Bingo Grid, and turn them over to reveal the writing on the back when they are called. Getting five squares in a row results in Bingo. Another alternative is to call for a full eight cards to be found, using the small Bingo chart. When calling the cards, the teacher could use the special large-size versions located here, so that they can be seen clearly by all students. Mix the key language up according to the level of the students (for example, low level: "How does he feel?"; high level: "How did he feel yesterday? How will she feel tomorrow?") when calling the cards and then checking winners (you could ask them to describe the winning cards in order to confirm their victory!). The large Bingo Grid download also has a section at the bottom where students can jot down some of the "winning" sentences.
